I’ve placed my initial order. When can I expect to receive my WashApp Bag?
For your first pickup, simply make your order using a 13-gallon (kitchen-sized) trash bag. Make sure to label your name on the exterior of the bag to prevent any mix-up with other customers’ orders. We will return your items in a fresh plastic bag. Customers using our On Demand service have the option to request a reusable WashApp Bag for $10 per bag at any time. What if I’m not present during pickup and delivery?
No worries. If you won’t be at home, simply leave your laundry in a location we can access, then access your account and modify your Pickup/Delivery Instructions accordingly. Many of our customers have us leave their laundry at their back door or in a foyer when they’re not available. Whenever possible, please select a drop-off spot that shields your laundry from the weather.
Where should I leave my laundry for pickup/drop-off?
We suggest choosing a pickup/drop-off location that’s sheltered from the elements, if feasible. Most customers opt for their laundry to be left on a front or back porch, in a garage, or with their building manager. We also use common sense and consider the weather conditions. If there’s a hurricane or blizzard approaching, we’ll contact you to make alternate arrangements.
What products are utilized for laundering?
All orders are laundered using a hypoallergenic, unscented detergent, and machine-dried with unscented dryer sheets. Our detergent and stain treatment methods are so effective that we don’t require bleach. If you have concerns about disinfection or specific stains, please separate those items and provide details in the special instructions during checkout or contact us via email at least 24 hours before pickup. Currently, we can’t accept personal laundry soaps or additives.
When will you arrive? What if I miss the pickup?
Our routes vary daily due to new customers joining our service, making it challenging to predict exact arrival times. To guarantee pickup, kindly have your order ready by 8:00 am at the latest. While we’d love to accommodate missed pickups, being punctual for all customers sometimes makes this challenging. The majority of orders are collected between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. If you accidentally miss a pickup, simply reschedule.
Do I need to sort my laundry by colors?
No sorting required! We only ask for items that need special care, like Hang Dry items, to be separated. We provide convenient bags to help you keep everything organized.
Can I include household items?
Absolutely! Towels, sheet sets, and blankets smaller than (50”x60”) are included in our per-pound and subscription rates. Refer to our Additional Pricing page for other commonly laundered household items.
Can you hang dry my clothes?
Certainly! This service is available exclusively for our Monthly subscription members. Items designated for hang drying will be machine-washed and then air-dried using our reusable Hang Dry Bags. Note that the rest of your order will be machine-washed and machine-dried, unless you specifically separate Hang Dry items in our bags. Hang Dry items will be returned on hangers. Do you offer Dry Cleaning?
Absolutely, we can assist with your Dry Cleaning needs. Simply request a Dry Cleaning bag or place your dry-clean-only items in a separate labeled bag. Dry Cleaned items are priced individually and will typically be returned along with your Wash & Fold order.
Are there any items you can’t clean?
Yes, we cannot clean items contaminated with:
Human or pet bodily fluids
Excessive pet hair
Moisture if the item is still wet or damp (not due to mechanical issues with a home machine)
Mildew
Household pests (bedbugs, cockroaches, fleas, or ticks)
Poison ivy or poison oak oils
Hazardous chemical residue
Bedding exposed to COVID
Orders containing these items will be returned un-laundered to the customer.
What’s the procedure during inclement weather?
We understand that weather can be unpredictable. On rainy or snowy days, we take extra precautions by using double bags for your order. If you lack a covered front stoop or won’t be present for delivery, we can deliver to your garage or back porch. Inform us of your preference by noon on your delivery day, and we’ll accommodate your request. You can reach out to us via text or phone call.
How will I be charged?
We’ll directly bill your credit or debit card. Each time your card is billed, you’ll receive a detailed invoice via email. You can also opt to receive invoice totals through text messages.
Is there a contract or long-term commitment?
Not at all. You have the freedom to cancel or suspend your account whenever you wish.
Can you pick up and deliver to my workplace?
Absolutely. Many of our customers have us pick up and deliver to their workplace. Just specify the pickup and delivery details in your laundry preferences.
